With only one runner at Aintree this year it was brilliant to see Bugise Seagull finish a very exciting 3rd in the Grade 1 Novices' Hurdle under Sean Bowen. We always knew there was something special about him and he really has shown us he has potential to be a graded horse. Despite being a little green in the early stages of the race his jumping improved and when push came to shove he dug deep to fight off some top quality horses and hold on for 3rd. The future looks bright for Bugsie Boy!
Huge congratulations to his owner Grant Leon and to all his connections. And a further well done to Tor (who rides him everyday) and Macy who won Best Turned Out!
