Horses for Sale

Round up from the biggest, busiest week in racing!

19 March 2024

It is always a crazy 10 days when it comes to the Cheltenham Festival, with horses, owners, and trainers all over the place!

Cheltenham – 14th March

Hector Javilex returned to Cheltenham for the Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle, with Lilly Pinchin on board once again. He ran a brilliant race, jumping fluently throughout to contend the lead in the second half of the race, only to lose second on the run to the final hurdle and eventually cross the line in 12th. His owners, Lilly and Charlie were thrilled with him, and it was a good improvement on last year in this same race. Well done to his owner David Mason on another Cheltenham Festival runner!

Wolverhampton – 15th March

Parramount returned to Wolverhampton on Gold Cup Day for the 6.30pm novice stakes (flat) under Robert Havlin. After finishing a promising 2nd here last month, Parramount put in another good run to finish a very close 3rd this time out in better company, but got a bit closer to previous winner Prince Max in receipt of weight this time, confirming he's capable on the flat!

Kempton – 16th March

There is no rest for the wicked once Cheltenham is over! We headed to Kempton with 3 on Saturday, with Do Your Job putting in the best performance of the lot. He finish a creditable 3rd in the handicap chase with Lilly Pinchin, showing us a much more positive performance than last time at Ascot. He is one we hope to see back in the winners enclosure very soon! Western Zephyr finished 4th having run a brilliant race, just tiring coming down the home straight to lose touch with the leaders. And Alien Storm was too keen throughout to stay with them until the end so we will look for another race iin the next month or so to settle him in again.
