This weekend is slightly different to most, as we had our last 2 horses run before National Hunt racing takes a break for 3 weeks, although this may feel like an eternity for us, the summer horses will appreciate some down time and a quiet few weeks.
However, the life of a racing yard never stops, with the summer horses having a well earn rest, our focus diverts to the continuous preparation of our winter horses where some will begin to canter.
On Thursday we took Almazhar Garde and Midnight Jewel to Worcester, they both ran great races! Almazhar was giving plenty of weight to the horses who finished in front of him but still put in a brilliant effort and another round of foot perfect jumping! Midnight Jewel has had a year off from the track, it was great to see him back in action but most importantly he is home safe and sound. He will come on from his run and we are adamant he will be back to his winning ways very soon!
On Monday we will welcome another group of our winter jumpers coming back in after a holiday, which is thrilling! We will be welcoming back Delpotro, Frammassone X, Ikigai Star, Molto Bene and Raise Your Glass!
