Another winner.... It was great that Storm Goddess got her head back in front yesterday at Doncaster. It has been a desperate winter for all horses wanting better going and it just shows the difference when a bit of decent going does arrive. She won like we knew she could and hopefully she can run in some nice races this Spring and early Summer. Young Tom gave her a lovely ride and it was his first winner after his collarbone injury... Champagne Noir also ran well to a point. It looked like he did not see out the 3 miles and a drop back in trip is now in order.
Today we are off to Fakenham with just Shanroe in Milan. He does not win very often and the handicapper was quite harsh after his last win - it is only a 6 runner race and the ground up there is drying nicely so hopefully he can go well.
I don't think I am doing very well with my Cheltenham tips, but today the two horses I fancy are Lieutenant Rocco at a big price in the Albert Bartlett and Mohaayed in the County Hurdle - he looks to have been carefully campaigned and you might see a big improvement in form today.....
